What our Readers say about roadSIGNS:

  • I just LOVE your book roadSIGNS; I came across it in our office the other day, and promptly have been unable to return it, as I find it so useful ~ it really does speak to me. Well done for publishing something that is so easy to read, yet so profound. Thank you.

Daniela Yarnold, IC International, Aberdeen, Scotland

  • Your book ... is so cleverly written, I'm really enjoying the read. I find I want to take a section at a time to savor it and savor the intimate look into your thoughts and perspectives.

Christy Moe Marek, restaurateur, Minnesota

  • I've been meaning to write you to tell you how much I enjoyed roadSIGNS. I use it as my morning reading, working with a chapter at a time. I thought it was really well written and very accessible and I liked your slant on the concepts.

Ron Van Dyke, Regional Sales Manager, Valeant Canada, Vancouver

  • I think Betty Healey's roadSIGNS: Travel Tips for Authentic Living is a fantastic book for people seeking ways to slow down and evaluate the direction they're traveling in life. Betty's writing is light, understandable and, most importantly for me and I think many others, approachable. She uses her own life as an example and relates to her readers rather than separating herself from them. For today's super-busy professionals, I think roadSIGNS is a valuable and highly accessible and useful guidebook that will help them reach the destinations they most want to experience.

Shonnie Lavender, Coach and Author, Ashville, North Carolina

  • I just finished reading your newsletter and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate what you write every month. You are helping me and many others live a better life. It made me feel calmer and less anxious about what is going to happen to me in the future. It's a spiritual kind of feeling. I know I will go home and pass the feeling on to my family, which is a bonus. Thank you very, very much.

All self-help books are not created equal - some expect heroics from ordinary people just trying to get through their day. Healey's life guide has a gentle, nurturing tone and what she wants is for her readers to pay attention - to life's journey, that is, and to the signs along the way. She is not impressed with busy-ness for its own sake: where other self-help books suggest using commuting time to listen to improving books-on-tape, she suggests (wait for it!) - silence. Healey also recommends taking a media cleanse once in a while, not starting one's day with news, but instead with music. Instead of reading the whole newspaper, just read columns such as The Globe & Mail's "Lives Lived."

Healey has a lot to say and when she imparts her views, it's like listening to a good friend who has your best interests at heart

The roadSIGNS Retreat Experience

  • Thank you for so much for the roadSIGNS Retreat Day.  It was refreshing for my spirit to see your style of facilitation and to see your confidence and comfort with that 'go with the flow' style.
  • I was skeptical, having initiated and participated in so many seminars throughout my 30 year career.  At the onset, I thought "oh no" not breathing exercises, and I cringed at the thought of sharing my thoughts with others. But the time actually flew by. I was astonished when it was time to leave. I was thoroughly delighted with the experience.
  • Since doing the Why/Be/Do work, I feel significantly different - clearer, more confident, more powerful. I seem more alive. Knowing my Destiny, Cause and Calling has provided a rich template for directing me towards my "Life Purpose". It has unlocked many channels. Wonderful connections have appeared, ideas flow and I feel my "real" work growing.
  • This session began with participants of all ages and from all walks of life coming together with a common purpose, that being, to answer that age old question "Why are we here?" What is my purpose ?"  On the surface we appeared so very different. How could we help each other in this journey of discovery?

With the assistance of a great facilitator, Betty Healey, we discovered our similarities and put aside our differences.  Each person had different struggles and fears but all had a desire to make changes which would lead them to a happier more fulfilling life. By listening to the stories of other participants we learned a lot about ourselves. Over the six months we journeyed together, some women have make some rather radical changes in their lives, for others, the changes have been just as amazing, as they cleansed their minds and souls to start afresh.  We will all go out into the world with a better understanding of why we are here, focused on fulfilling our life purpose and happier persons. Thank-you Betty for providing the safe environment for exploration and learning.
